Someone Asked, so I will respond Where have you been?  What happened to your website and why no Facebook activity?  The answer: Life is a journey that takes you on many paths and loves to distract you.  In 2014 when things were moving and adventures growing, I traveled a different path.  I left the TAJL Group behind for a few years and took on another adventure or three.  I was still helping others, growing processes and ensuring that others were being thoughtfully served, but it was on a new path.  As my true vision blurred, I began to realize that I needed to travel back to my original path.  This year I reinstated The TAJL Group and am slowing making the climb.  One of the other adventures is consulting which has grown into a Studio and Entrepreneurial Zone that has and is changing the lives of youth.  This adventure has blossomed into an amazing journey helping to shape a new way to educate. I was blessed: In life there are times that we find ourselves feeling like a 'hamster' running on a wheel.  No matter how hard we work, how much passion we put in and are constantly trying to move forward, we feel like we aren't making a difference.  I had to get 'smacked' on the head by someone whom I value to see that I was overthinking the outcomes.  I always teach to look for the 'simplicity' in life and to cherish the small stuff, yet I was looking for the home run.  I failed to see what was happening right in front of me because I was so focused on where I am seeking to be.  Why did I fail to see the little things around me and realize the impact that was being made?   I could feel and see how those around me where impacting me, but I was failing to see that maybe I was making a difference even if very small.  I'm thankful for this 'smack' on the head.  I am thankful that someone around me was aware of the things that were happen...

We often create our relationship issues with what is going on within ourselves.  When someone I work with is truly upset because of an interaction or series of interactions, they often claim that being in a relationship with anyone is not worth it.  Well, unfortunately we can’t escape any relationships even if we refuse to associate with anyone because we still have to associate with ourselves. Our relationship issues begin within us as we are the cause of most all of our relationship issues. "Creativity and Ego" is like "Oil and Water" From Zen Buddhist nun, Jeong Kwan , we get the statement that 'Creativity and Ego cannot go together'.   Her words are saying that we must not be our own obstacle. Her vision is that we must be free in our mind in order to allow creativity to flow freely.  If you want to be creative in all you do, then you must lose the elements of the ego that create jealousy, comparisons etc.....  Like Oil and Water where you may see them mix temporarily, they will then separate again. In your life can you remove the oil from the top of your water and find the creativity to create solutions to issues you face.  Find your passion and lose worry about competing with others, what they are thinking, or what others are doing.  Set your mind to flow like water and create a life of success and happiness.  Lose your ego and stubborn pride and self doubt, create a stream of hope and creativity. Dissociating unhelpful labelling for change: Most individuals confuse their behavior with their identity. We must dissociate them from the unhealthy behavior to get successful change.  If someone says they are an alcoholic or a smoker…no that is the behavior. Do we associate our behavior with who we are?  We often destroy young children's self esteem by labeling them by their behavior.  When a child does something bad, how many of you say to them "You are Bad"?  After continually hearing this statement, the child then associates their behavior as their identity.  We need to focus on correcting the behavior and not labeling the individual.   Your thoughts?  Share them!

Today you have control in your life, tomorrow is waiting for today's results. We often spend so much time worrying about the past and worrying about tomorrow, that we fail to live for today.  You can't change what happened yesterday, you can only recover and move forward.  Don't set expectations about tomorrow and create unrealistic outcomes.  So often we determine in our minds that we will fail or that something is going to go wrong tomorrow.  We begin to worry and create anxiety in our lives.  You see, today sets the foundation of tomorrow's successes and failures.  One must live for today with all the positive energy he/she possesses.  Yesterday was an experience that can help you mold what you do today and tomorrow is just waiting for the results.
