Is "Creativity & Ego" like "Oil & Water"?

"Creativity and Ego" is like "Oil and Water"

From Zen Buddhist nun, Jeong Kwan, we get the statement that 'Creativity and Ego cannot go together'.  Her words are saying that we must not be our own obstacle. Her vision is that we must be free in our mind in order to allow creativity to flow freely.  If you want to be creative in all you do, then you must lose the elements of the ego that create jealousy, comparisons etc.....  Like Oil and Water where you may see them mix temporarily, they will then separate again. In your life can you remove the oil from the top of your water and find the creativity to create solutions to issues you face.  Find your passion and lose worry about competing with others, what they are thinking, or what others are doing.  Set your mind to flow like water and create a life of success and happiness.  Lose your ego and stubborn pride and self doubt, create a stream of hope and creativity.

Unhelpful Labelling

Dissociating unhelpful labelling for change:

Most individuals confuse their behavior with their identity. We must dissociate them from the unhealthy behavior to get successful change.  If someone says they are an alcoholic or a smoker…no that is the behavior.

Do we associate our behavior with who we are?  We often destroy young children's self esteem by labeling them by their behavior.  When a child does something bad, how many of you say to them "You are Bad"?  After continually hearing this statement, the child then associates their behavior as their identity.  We need to focus on correcting the behavior and not labeling the individual.

Ask yourself this question when faced with a decision or an opportunity.  Let your ‘gut’ be your guide and not those who want to direct you.  Think it through and understand the entire picture to your decision.  All the issues you have in life, you created.  Stop getting into those issues.

Live For Today

Today you have control in your life, tomorrow is waiting for today's results.

We often spend so much time worrying about the past and worrying about tomorrow, that we fail to live for today.  You can't change what happened yesterday, you can only recover and move forward.  Don't set expectations about tomorrow and create unrealistic outcomes.  So often we determine in our minds that we will fail or that something is going to go wrong tomorrow.  We begin to worry and create anxiety in our lives.  You see, today sets the foundation of tomorrow's successes and failures.  One must live for today with all the positive energy he/she possesses.  Yesterday was an experience that can help you mold what you do today and tomorrow is just waiting for the results.

Take time today to truly listen to the world around you and to yourself.  Learn to build the foundation that will develop the life that you were meant to live.  Don't let past failures and others determine your tomorrow, build your tomorrow by living You today.

I'm In the process of building momentum and finding the solutions to Your issues in this World!

I had the wonderful opportunity to have an Intern from China this past Summer.  Judy opened my eyes to her world and we were able to help her discover her true potential.  She is working to create an amazing venture helping people in small villages.  

The first thing I have kept in my mind is to find something you like and make money with it,having fun in your job. I remember the first day I went to IC,you asked me what my hobby is .I have been looking for it until today,I still can't find it. But I have changed my ideas about hobbies and interests.....

The second thing is to be good for people. What makes me impressive at the  beginning is to be good for people.I totally agree that it is very important to be good with people and make difference to the world....

The third thing is there is no limit. What I felt about is that American people love dreams,they are willing to dream whatever they want and they believe that this gonna work.But I am used to evaluate it before I do or even think about it.Mostly the evaluation will stop me from what I am going to do or even think about it any more.I had a very tough time in persuading myself to believe that this project is going to work and it is not meaningless.But I was totally surprised after I talked with....

Keeping my life open to the World around me has enriched my life.  Working individuals around this Country and the World has truly made life a wonderful adventure.  I am always amazed at what happens when you bring 'light' to the 'shadows' that surround individuals.  My heart opens and my mouth speaks with the passion from within.

Also you preaching is the best. You are easily one of the best people I have ever met. You have been through so much. Many bad things and good things. No matter what happens you always seem to keep your passions going and help others pursue their passions. You are a very smart, funny, and very giving. You have helped me so much, you gave me a very awesome job that I actually love. It was always great coming to work. Laughing all the time and just having a blast, while still doing things that I loved, like making videos. Thanks to you I am taking lessons with an amazing actress and I have network with other people. You really helped set myself up for a very promising future. Helped me get out of my comfort zone which was really holding me back. I will always consider you as one of my best mentors. If I need any advice I know you are always there.
